Why is Egypt a key salt exporter?

Egypt has one of the largest salt reserves in the world. Annual production reaches several million tons, a significant part of which goes to Europe as technical and road salt. Developed port infrastructure (Port Said, Alexandria, Damietta) and geographical proximity make the import of Egyptian salt economically attractive.

Stages of salt import from Egypt

  1. Contract and specification – establishing technical parameters: granulation, NaCl purity, packaging.
  2. On-site quality control – our team in Egypt samples and verifies the batch before loading.
  3. Loading at the port – containers or bulk carrier, depending on the volume.
  4. Sea transport – 10-18 days to Polish ports (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Szczecin).
  5. Customs clearance – CoA, certificate of origin, bill of lading (B/L), invoice.
  6. Delivery to warehouse – land transport from the port to the destination.

What documents are required?

  • Certificate of Origin
  • Certificate of Analysis (chemical analysis)
  • Bill of Lading
